About Kesavarajah K. Mayandy
Kesavarajah K. Mayandy is an economist and economic researcher specialising in macroeconomic analysis, monetary economics, public finance, economic development and applied econometrics.
He has served as a Senior Economist in the Economic Research Department of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, contributing to economic research and analysis across monetary policy, fiscal policy, economic growth and macroeconomic stability.
He is also a PhD holder in Economics from The University of Western Australia, with research interests spanning labour-share dynamics, technological progress, structural transformation, monetary policy and macro-finance.
His academic and research work has been published internationally, including research on monetary policy, inflation-output variability, fiscal deficits, economic growth and technological progress. His recent research on technological progress and manufacturing labour shares was published in the Journal of Comparative Economics in 2026.
